Let's be honest, cabbage is probably not on your top 5 favorite foods list, BUT when you add a little creativity and flavor to this humble veggie, it shines!

As you venture to the Farmer's Market this summer, keep this recipe in mind when you see cabbage... you just might cabbage on...

Roasted Cabbage

4-6 servings

6 half-inch slices of green cabbage (8 ounces total)

2 teaspoons extra-virgin coconut oil

2 teaspoons garlic powder

½-1 teaspoon REAL® sea salt

½ teaspoon ground black pepper

½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

Directions:

1) Select a small green cabbage. Slice 6 half-inch slices and place in a 9x13x2 inch glass baking dish coated with non-stick grapeseed oil spray.

2) In a small bowl, combine the coconut oil, garlic powder, sea salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Mix well. Using a pastry brush, coat the cabbage with the oil and seasonings.

3) Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes until slightly golden.
